Co-Location Service
We are pleased to continue to offer server and networking storage within our data center racks located in the IT Datacenter in ITB 1010. This service provides added security and network capabilities to systems facilitating services to large groups of individuals, labs, and departments. If you are experiencing any issues related to storing your on-premise physical servers in your existing lab or office, please submit a ticket to relocate your systems to ITB 1010.
What is this good for:
If you require additional security measures or special networking requirements for your on-premise devices located in your lab or your office.
If you require consistent power and resiliency to ensure highly available service functionality.
If you need multiple points of back-end management in your system that require tailored firewall rules to keep the system locked down.
If you need hardware or system administration support for your server.
How is CIT supporting this:
CAHNRS Operations and IT will provide power and networking to the system, and assist with hardware maintenance (cost of hardware will be covered by end-user). We’ll also provide Administrator and Root credential management to ensure that CIT retains back-end access to all servers to provide additional support functions in case of system lockouts.
As always, CAHNRS Operations and IT will provide support and best practice guidance for all ticketed support requests.
